"I brought in a Patek that had been sitting unworn for about eight years. The team was straightforward about what they found — the mainspring needed attention and a few worn parts were identified. The written report before they started was reassuring. When I collected the watch six weeks later, it was keeping time beautifully and came with full test records."

"Was in Phuket for two weeks and decided to leave my vintage Omega in for an inspection. The turnaround was slightly longer than I'd hoped, but the work itself was careful and the documentation they provided was thorough. They were honest that there was some light wear on the movement that didn't need immediate attention, which I appreciated — no upselling."

"My grandfather's Longines needed proper attention — it hadn't been serviced in decades and the case had some dents I wanted sympathetically addressed. Naga handled the whole restoration over about four months, sourcing a correct crystal and refinishing only where I agreed to it. The watch now runs within a few seconds a day and looks as it should."

"Sent a Breguet from Japan by insured courier after contacting them first. The process was smooth — they photographed the watch on arrival and kept me informed at each stage. Communication was clear and professional. The service documentation is excellent, exactly what I need for my collection records."

"Visited the workshop while spending a few weeks in Phuket. I had a question about whether an IWC I'd recently purchased needed servicing — they examined it, gave me an honest view that it could wait another year or two, and charged nothing for the consultation. That kind of straightforward approach is exactly what you want."

"I've had three watches serviced here over the past four years — a Rolex Datejust, a vintage Zenith El Primero, and most recently a Vacheron. Each time the work has been done carefully, documented well, and returned with a clear account of what was found. The El Primero in particular was a tricky job and they handled it with real knowledge."

Case Studies

Three Watches, Three Stories

Each service is different. These case summaries show how the work unfolds in practice.

1960s Rolex Submariner — Collector Restoration

Challenge

The owner had acquired a 1963 Submariner at auction. The movement had not been serviced in an unknown period, the crown tube was damaged, and the previous service had used a non-original bezel insert. The owner wanted the watch in running order and correctly presented without losing originality.

Our Approach

Full movement overhaul using period-correct lubricants. A correct crown tube was sourced from a European parts specialist. The bezel insert question was discussed with the owner — they opted to retain the replaced one rather than risk a further substitution. A correct-period crown was found and fitted. Case polishing was declined at the owner's request.

Outcome

Movement running at +4 seconds per day across positions. Full documentation issued, including parts sourcing records. Duration: 14 weeks. The owner subsequently had the watch independently valued, with the service record noted as adding to the piece's provenance.

Family Patek Philippe — Inherited Piece Requiring Service

Challenge

A client inherited her father's Patek Philippe annual calendar. The watch had last been serviced approximately nine years prior, was running erratically, and the calendar was advancing incorrectly. The owner had no previous experience with high-end watch servicing and was unsure what was involved or what to expect.

Our Approach

The initial consultation was used to explain clearly what an annual calendar service involves and why the calibre requires specialist attention. A written assessment was sent before the quote was confirmed. The service involved a full movement overhaul, calendar mechanism adjustment, and water resistance renewal. Regular updates were provided during the eight-week service period.

Outcome

Movement regulated to within +2 seconds per day. Calendar advancing correctly through end-of-month transitions. The owner described the process as considerably less intimidating than she had expected. Duration: 8 weeks. Full documentation provided, which she intends to pass on with the watch.

German Pocket Watch — Routine Inspection Request

Challenge

An expatriate client brought in a 1920s Glashütte pocket watch, wanting to know its condition before deciding whether to commission further work. He had been given conflicting advice elsewhere and wanted an independent view.

Our Approach

An inspection was carried out and a detailed written report prepared. The movement was found to be in reasonable condition — some light wear on the setting mechanism but the main train and escapement sound. We recommended no immediate action and noted what to watch for over the next few years.

Outcome

The client was pleased to have a clear, written assessment to refer to. No service was required at this stage, and none was recommended — or charged for beyond the inspection fee. He has since returned with two other pieces. Duration: 2.5 weeks.
