How We Work
Every watch that arrives at Naga Timepieces follows the same fundamental process: careful assessment, clear communication, agreed scope, considered work, and thorough documentation. The service tier determines the depth of the work; the process around it remains constant.
We do not begin work until we have a clear view of the watch's condition and the owner has agreed to a written quotation. This protects both parties and ensures that the outcome is understood in advance.
Receipt & Initial Examination
Condition photographed, movement status assessed under magnification, and a preliminary report prepared.
Written Quotation
A clear quotation is issued. Work does not proceed until the owner confirms in writing.
Service Carried Out
The agreed work is performed to the standard the service requires, with any unexpected findings communicated immediately.
Testing & Documentation
Timing results, water resistance tests (where applicable), and a full service record are prepared before the watch is returned.
Service 01
Inspection & Routine Care
A considered review for owners who want their watch looked after with care. The movement is examined under magnification, the rate measured, and seals, crown, and crystal reviewed. Cleaning and fresh lubrication are included where suitable. A clear written summary and gentle recommendations follow, with no pressure to take further steps.

Repair & Regulation
For timepieces that have drifted from accurate running, this service restores reliable timekeeping. The movement is serviced carefully, worn parts replaced with original or matched components, and the balance regulated. Water resistance is checked and renewed where needed. The work respects the watch's original feel and value.

Restoration & Collector Service
A full and careful restoration for vintage and collectible pieces, including those with complications. Work may include a complete overhaul, sympathetic refinishing of case and bracelet, crystal replacement, and patient sourcing of correct parts. Preservation of originality and value guides each step. Detailed documentation accompanies the work.

Standards
Protocols Common to All Services
These practices apply regardless of which service your watch receives.
Secure Receipt
Every watch is photographed and assigned a reference number on arrival. Its status in the workshop is tracked throughout the service period.
Written Agreement
No work proceeds without a written quotation that the owner has confirmed. The scope and cost of the work are agreed before anything is touched.
Controlled Conditions
Movement work is conducted in a dust-controlled environment with regulated humidity — conditions appropriate to precision mechanical components.
Instrumented Testing
All serviced movements are measured on a multi-position timegrapher. Results are recorded and form part of the documentation issued to the owner.
Ongoing Communication
Owners are contacted if anything unexpected is found during service. No additional work is carried out without agreement.
Service Documentation
A written record of all work, test results, and observations accompanies every watch when it is collected or returned. This record has value for future service reference and collection documentation.
