How Naga Timepieces Came to Be
Naga Timepieces opened its doors on Thanon Thalang in the early 2010s, in a quiet part of old Phuket Town that suited its purpose well. The founding members had backgrounds in Swiss movement servicing and had spent years working with independent watchmakers across Europe and Southeast Asia before settling in Thailand.
The name Naga — a serpent of ancient Thai legend associated with protection and endurance — felt fitting for a workshop whose work is about preserving things of lasting worth. Watches, particularly those that have been owned and worn over decades, carry a kind of history. The work of a good watchmaker is partly about honouring that.
Over the years, the workshop has grown steadily through word of mouth. Clients come from across Thailand, from Singapore, Hong Kong, and further afield — collectors, travellers, and owners who simply want to know their watches are in considered hands.

What We Are Here to Do
The mission at Naga Timepieces is straightforward: to carry out careful, informed work on fine and collectible timepieces, and to communicate clearly with their owners throughout. We are not the fastest workshop, and we do not try to be. We are the workshop that takes the time to do things properly.
Each watch that comes to us is considered on its own terms. A routine inspection receives the same focused attention as a full restoration. We write down what we find, explain what we propose to do, and wait for agreement before proceeding. If a piece is beyond what we can address well, we say so.

Krit Nantawong
Head Watchmaker
Trained in movement servicing in Switzerland and Germany, Krit leads technical work on complex movements and collector pieces, with particular experience in vintage chronographs.
Praew Siriwan
Restoration Specialist
Praew focuses on case and bracelet work, refinishing, and sympathetic restoration. Her approach preserves the original character of each piece while addressing the marks of age that detract from its function.
Aroon Thiraphat
Parts & Documentation
Aroon manages parts sourcing and client documentation. With deep knowledge of parts suppliers across Europe and Japan, he handles the patient process of finding correct components for vintage and uncommon pieces.
Our Standards
How We Approach Every Piece
The workshop follows a set of practices developed over years, adapted to the needs of fine mechanical timepieces.
Pre-Work Assessment
Every watch receives a documented assessment before any work begins. This covers movement condition, case integrity, water resistance status, and any visible concerns.
Controlled Environment
Work is carried out under dust-controlled conditions with regulated humidity — essential for delicate movement work and for protecting components during disassembly and reassembly.
Quotation Before Commitment
A written quotation is always provided before work proceeds. No charges arise for work that has not been discussed and agreed. Clients may decline at any stage prior to commencement.
Timing and Performance Testing
After service, movements are tested on a timing machine across multiple positions. Results are recorded and shared with the owner as part of the service documentation.
Water Resistance Verification
Where applicable, water resistance is tested to the manufacturer's stated rating after any service that involves case opening. Seals are renewed as a matter of course.
Secure Custody and Tracking
Each watch in the workshop is photographed on arrival and assigned a reference number. Its location and status are tracked throughout the service period.

Mechanical Watch Servicing in Phuket — A Considered Practice
The service of a fine mechanical watch draws on a range of disciplines: an understanding of precision engineering, a familiarity with the characteristics of specific calibres and manufacturers, and the kind of patient hand skill that only comes through sustained practice. At Naga Timepieces, these qualities are present in the work we do and in the people we have brought together to do it.
Phuket's position as an international destination means we work with watches from many parts of the world — Swiss, German, French, Japanese, and American movements among them. Collectors visiting Thailand, expatriates resident in the south, and Thai owners throughout the island and peninsula have all found their way to the workshop over the years.
The workshop handles movements across a range of complication types — simple three-hand watches, date and day displays, chronographs, annual and perpetual calendars, and moonphase indicators. Vintage pieces, particularly those from the mid-twentieth century with character and collecting interest, are an area we give particular attention to, understanding that their originality is part of their value.
