Watch service tools and movement

Why Naga Timepieces

The Difference That
Care Makes

Choosing a watch service is not only about technical competence — it is about trusting that your timepiece will be treated with the same seriousness its maker intended.

What Owners Value About Working With Us

These are the qualities that owners mention when they describe their experience at Naga Timepieces — drawn from what they tell us directly.

Specialist Knowledge

The team has hands-on experience with the kind of movements that require real depth of knowledge — complications, vintage calibres, and pieces from makers who built to precise standards.

Transparent Pricing

Service costs are set out clearly, with a written quotation before work begins. Nothing proceeds without agreement. Owners know what they are committing to before any commitment is made.

Open Communication

We keep owners informed throughout the service period. If something is found mid-work that changes the scope, we pause, explain clearly, and ask for direction before continuing.

Unhurried Work

Fine watch service cannot be rushed without cost to quality. We work at the pace the watch requires, giving realistic timelines and sticking to them. Speed is not the objective.

Full Documentation

Every service produces a written record: what was found, what was done, results of timing tests, and any observations for the owner's reference. This documentation accompanies the watch when it is collected.

Value Preserved

Every decision in our workshop is made with the watch's long-term worth in mind. We do not over-service, over-polish, or substitute parts where originals can be saved or correctly sourced.

Expertise

Over a Decade of Specialist Work

The watchmakers at Naga Timepieces have worked on movements from the principal Swiss houses, independent German makers, and Japanese manufacturers for more than twelve years in Phuket. This accumulated experience matters when a watch presents an unusual fault, an obsolete calibre, or a complication that requires careful disassembly.

  • Training in Switzerland and Germany
  • Experience with vintage and complications
  • 30+ movement brands handled

Tools & Equipment

The Right Equipment for the Work

The workshop is equipped with the instruments that precise movement work requires — not general repair equipment adapted for watches, but tools designed for the job. This matters for the accuracy of measurement and for the quality of the finished work.

Client Approach

A Service Shaped Around You

We do not assume that every owner wants the same thing. Some watches need a straightforward check; others are complex collector pieces with particular sensitivities. We take the time to understand what each owner values before recommending anything.

Pricing reflects the actual work involved. Service descriptions and costs are explained in plain terms, without specialist jargon, and without pressure to take options that are not needed.

Outcomes

What the Service Delivers

Owners leave with a watch that has been properly cared for, a clear understanding of what was done, and documentation that serves as a service record for future reference or resale purposes.

We are candid when a watch's condition means the service outcome will be limited — and equally candid when a watch is in better shape than its owner feared.

How We Compare

Specialist Service vs. General Watch Repair

The differences between a specialist service and a general repair shop become apparent in the details — and in the lasting quality of the work.

What Sets Us Apart

Distinctive to Naga Timepieces

Collector-Oriented Understanding

We understand that for collectors, originality is often more important than perfection. Work decisions are made with that awareness — never replacing what can be preserved, never refinishing what should show its age.

Remote Drop-Off Available

Clients outside Phuket can send watches by insured courier. We provide condition photography on receipt and maintain contact throughout. The process is handled with the same care as a personal visit.

Honest Second Opinions

If you have received a service recommendation elsewhere and would like a second view, we are pleased to offer an independent assessment. There is no charge for an initial consultation on a watch you bring in.

Service Records for Resale

The documentation we produce carries weight when a watch is later sold or authenticated. We write service records in the format that collectors and dealers recognise, with workshop details and dates clearly stated.
